What happened to Paint The Town?
Rog took it offline.

Why did Rog take Paint The Town offline?
Paint The Town's primary usage became making maps for Gates Motel, but its internal format was designed for Gates Motel v3 and was not updated for v4. It was getting outdated and would have been difficult to port maps from.

Why not update Paint The Town for v4 maps?
Rog will probably get around to eventually, but for now Gates Motel probably has enough maps.

What if I have a great idea for a Gates Motel map and no where to work on it?
When Paint The Town was available, only one user made a complete quality map and Rog doesn't have the time it takes to work on someone else's ideas for maps.

If you are serious about making maps for Gates Motel, then work on your map offline until Paint The Town returns. A large pad of graph paper is suggested as starting material.

So when will Paint The Town be returning?
Probably sometime in spring 2004.
